Chisel North (Closed) zinc mine
Report summary
Chisel North mine is a part of HudBay's fully-integrated metallurgical complex in the Flin Flon region of Manitoba. Operations at Chisel North ceased in Q3 2012 on depletion of reserves. Ore was processed at the Snow Lake concentrator 10km west of the project to produce zinc concentrate, which was trucked 215km to the company's 90kt/a slab zinc capacity zinc smelter in Flin Flon. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
