Gualcamayo gold mine
Report summary
The Gualcamayo property is located 270km north of the provincial capital of San Juan, in the northern San Juan province, Argentina. The mine is comprised of four known deposits Quebrada del Diablo Upper zone, Quebrada del Diablo Lower West, Amelia Inés and Magdalena. Mining employs a combination of underground and open pit mining techniques, with the Quebrada del Diablo Upper zone being exploited by conventional open pit mining methods. The ore is treated via heap leaching to produce a 80-90% gold doré, with the balance consisting of base metals. The doré is transported via airfreight from the Mendoza International Airport.
