Consumption of graphite is increasingly intertwined with the energy transition through its use as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries. Our base case scenarios sees global temperatures rising by 2.5 °C, but if the world can stick to its carbon emissions pledges - or even achieve net zero - more graphite will be needed.
