Could Schlumberger’s exit spell the end for Fortuna FLNG?
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Schlumberger has chosen to end it’s participation in OneLNG, a 49:51 joint-venture with Golar LNG. OneLNG was to take a 53% stake in the upstream portion of Equatorial Guinea’s 2.2 mmtpa Fortuna FLNG at final investment decision (FID). Ophir has failed to secure the US$1.2 billon debt financing needed to take the project forward and Schlumberger has exited as a result. This latest development will make finding a favourable deal even more difficult, so what is next for this project?
