Asset Report
Pase
Report summary
The Pase PSC onshore Aceh contains two gas fields - Pase A and Pase B. Mobil (later ExxonMobil) initially developed the fields to supply the Arun LNG plant. Both fields are located around 35 km southeast of the historically prolific Arun gas field. Starting from 2004, gas production declined significantly due to high water-cut. In late 2009, ExxonMobil sold its 100% interest to ASX-listed Triangle Energy. In 2010, Triangle Energy began workover activities and increased production. The Arun LNG plant ceased exports in 2014 and was converted into a regasification terminal in 2015. Production ceased on the Pase PSC in October 2014. Indonesian company PT Enso Asia - through an operating entity named Triangle Pase Inc. - took over as the operator in 2016 and restarted production in March 2018. Gas is sold under a gas sales agreement to PGN (Pertamina subsidiary), which supplies it to local industry in Medan via the Arun-Belawan pipeline.
