Snorre is a large oil and gas field located in the Tampen area of the Northern North Sea. The field has been developed with the Snorre A and Snorre B platforms in the southern and northern parts of the field respectively. Production started in 1992 from the Snorre A tension leg platform (TLP). Snorre B is a semi-submersible platform - development was approved in 1998 and was brought onstream in 2001.
