Report summary
Sudan retained control of two developments after South Sudan became independent in 2011. These were Block 6 and the northern part of the Greater Nile Oil Project. Both are located in the Muglad-Sudd Rift Basin, 750 kilometres south of Khartoum. In 2013, the Block 17 development also came onstream.
