Cicero joined the Annapolis-based team in December 2015 as a Principal Analyst focused on understanding the cost drivers behind coal, iron ore and steel operations for the Americas. He is also responsible to provide analysis on supply/demand dynamics and price forecasting for all the mentioned commodities.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie Cicero held various positions within BHP Billiton Iron Ore in Australia, the most recent one being a Business Analyst of Competitor Analysis and Benchmarking in the Commercial Transactions team. Before BHP Billiton, he worked for Alcoa in Brazil where he developed his career as a Mine Geologist responsible for medium-long term mine planning and coordination of field research. Cicero has a BSc in Geology from the University of Sao Paulo (USP) and a MBA in General Management from the Australian Institute of Business (AIB). He speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English.
