Cicero joined the Ferrous team in December 2015 as a principal analyst focused on understanding iron ore and steel supply/demand dynamics, market trends, price forecasting and cost drivers behind the assets located in the Americas region. In mid-2021, he became the Manager of Bulks Assets, leading the global asset coverage of coal, iron ore and steel.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie Cicero held various technical and strategic positions in BHP’s iron ore division in Australia, the most recent one being a senior business analyst of competitor analysis and benchmarking in the commercial transactions team. Before BHP, he worked for Alcoa in Brazil where he developed his career as a Mine Geologist responsible for medium-long term mine planning and coordination of field research.
