Juan focuses on the delivery of upstream consulting for the Americas. Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 2015, he has worked in various consulting projects. This includes the assessment of the exploration capabilities, key areas of improvement of North American focused IOC, and determining the market value of a portfolio of small fields of Latin-American NOC. He has also supported Latin-American governments on licensing and investment-promotion projects.
Prior to Wood Mackenzie, Juan worked 11 years for Ecopetrol in business development and portfolio management. In his most recent role, Juan worked as exploration and production (E&P) strategy advisor for the executive vice president of E&P.
Juan holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, a specialization in finance from Andes University and a BS in industrial engineering from Javeriana University.
