Paul Benjamin has a strong technical background and brings more than 20 years of practical experience in the mining and extractive industries to his current role as Global Content Lead. Before joining Wood Mackenzie, he spent 18 years at Metso Minerals, where he worked on the design and supply of mineral processing equipment and systems.
Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 2006, Paul has been a key contributor to our fundamental analysis of the global copper value chain. He was initially a member and then manager of the Copper Mine Cost Team. In 2012, he joined the Copper Metals Market Team, focusing on mine supply and the concentrate market.
During 2017, Paul was appointed Global Content Lead for Metals. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that all the company’s metals research clients are provided with high-value, consistent and integrated content.
Paul regularly meets with key clients to communicate Wood Mackenzie’s view of market developments . He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and is often interviewed by the media for his insight into topical issues.
