James is a Principal Analyst in the Primary Fuel Fundamentals group at Wood Mackenzie. He contributes to the Energy Markets and North America Gas services. The Energy Markets service provides insight on inter-fuel competition and highlights key energy trends and uncertainties on a country basis. For the North America Gas Service he is responsible for shaping Wood Mackenzie’s views on the changing Mexican gas and power markets in light of the recent landmark energy reform.
Prior to his current role in Houston, James was based in Edinburgh and covered the Middle East, Southern Africa and Eastern Europe.
James holds a BSc (hons) in economics from Royal Holloway, University of London and an MSc (DIC) in Metals and Energy Finance from Imperial College, London.
