Ryan Cochrane

Ryan joined Wood Mackenzie in September 2014 and is based in London, UK. He has over seven years of post-graduate experience as an exploration geologist, mining analyst and geochemist.

Ryan has worked on gold projects in South Africa and Western China and previously  worked at Thomson Reuters GFMS as a mining analyst covering the economics of precious metal mining.

Ryan contributes to Wood Mackenzie’s research coverage on copper and polymetallic mine costs, including streaming/royalty financing in the mining sector, M&A and implied value at different points in the market cycle, and mine cost sensitivity to broader market factors.

Ryan also holds a PhD in geochemistry, geochronology and thermochronology from  the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
