Coal Company Report – Peabody: Powder River Basin – July 2021

Report summary

Peabody has three operating mines in the Powder River Basin: North Antelope Rochelle (NARM), Caballo and Rawhide. North Antelope Rochelle is one of the largest mines in the world, historically producing over 100 Mstpa. The company has the ability to develop the North Antelope Rochelle Extension in the future but is not expected to develop that area until after 2030 – assuming there is still enough domestic demand to warrant development. All Peabody PRB coal is marketed domestically to utility customers.
