Coal into European power - is cheaper better?
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Although our long term outlook for coal prices has weakened, we still expect coal's contribution to European power supply to reduce as regional energy strategy continues to prioritise decarbonisation. Without significant revision of EU policy or a technology break-through on carbon capture and storage, cheaper coal will be unable to sustain its role in the power sector's fuel mix.
