La Luna is a coal project owned by Sloane located in the municipalities of El Paso and Becerril, in Colombia's Cesar Department. The concession is located immediately adjacent to Drummond's El Descanso mine and close to CNR's La Francia and El Hatillo mines. La Luna is planned to be an underground mine which will use longwall mining methods to produce a low-sulphur thermal coal that will mostly feed the planned namesake 1,125-MW power plant.
