Severstal coal mines

Report summary

Severstal's subsidiary Vorkutaugol operates five underground mines and one surface mine in Russia’s Komi region. The mines produce high quality hard coking coal, most of which is supplied to Severstal’s Cherepovets plant. Severstal also has two greenfield coking coal projects in the Komi and Tyva regions of Russia. Both projects are currently in the early exploration stages.
