Report summary

The 2016 CESCO copper week took place in Santiago, Chile during early April. The CESCO event is a traditional gathering place for participants in the copper industry including producers, consumers, traders and the financial community. The general mood at CESCO this year was rather negative with concerns about Chinese demand and the potential direction of the copper price dominating discussions. In this short video we consider various issues currently affecting the copper market. In particular we consider whether the prevailing pessimism seen in Santiago recently may be slightly overdone
