Report summary

The Algerian oil and gas industry is highly nationalised and dominated by state owned Sonatrach. However this has proved discouraging for foreign companies and hinders further development of Algeria's gas sector. Combined with rapidly growing domestic consumption Algeria's gas balance will increasingly tighten through 2035.
