Report summary

As domestic production is only 20% of demand Chile is dependent on natural gas imports. The country has two LNG import terminals and will likely build two more in the near future. There are no longer any piped imports from Argentina. Outside of the power sector demand is limited with domestic production being used for methanol production in the south and LNG is used in copper mining in the north.
