Ireland energy markets long-term outlook 2015

Report summary

Irish total final consumption was 11 Mtoe in 2014 and was flat on 2013 levels. End-use demand is expected to continue recovering slowly from 2015 driven by a positive long-term economic outlook, but it will not reach pre-recession levels during our forecast period. Efficiency improvements in the new housing stock and industry, as well as a shifting away from heavy manufacturing will mean that demand growth will be slower than during the boom years of 1994-2007.
