Report summary

Post Arab Spring Moroccan social spending soared in order to curb civil unrest. However in January 2014 Morocco became the first North African country to cut subsidies. Gasoline and fuel oil subsidies were cut whilst diesel subsidies were partially cut in an effort to repair the country's finances.
