Report summary

Philippines is one of the top performing economies in Southeast Asia. Energy demand is forecast to increase from 40 Mtoe in 2015 to 67 Mtoe in 2035. Despite having a deregulated energy market, Philippines has struggled to attract investments to expand its energy infrastructure. As the new government looks to review some of its previous policies, critical decisions await so that the country can ensure a secure and diversified supply mix over the longer term.
