Report summary

The power sector gas demand is expected to increase nearly ten fold from 2012 levels boosting its share of the gas market by 31% by 2035. The exchange trading obligation as mandated by the new gas law in 2013 effectively marks the end of wholesale tariffs retail market will be liberalised by 2016. Last year was disappointing for Polish shale gas industry with most wells showing unsatisfactory drilling results.
