Spain energy markets long-term outlook H2 2015

Report summary

Spanish energy demand will peak in 2017, at a lower level and earlier than in our H1 2015 forecast. The economic recovery in 2015 was stronger than expected, triggering the highest level of end-use demand in Spain since the crisis,134 Mtoe. Nonetheless, we expect that Spanish energy consumption post 2016 will fall by an average of 0.4% per annum due to efficiency improvements and demographic changes.
