China gas markets long-term outlook H2 2015

China gas markets long-term outlook H2 2015

Report summary

Major weakness in China's macro-economic and commodity data through 2015 has led to revisions in both short-term and long-term commodity demand forecasts. For natural gas and LNG, industrial overcapacity, low oil prices and the structural shift towards services turned what looked like headwinds in early 2015 into a perfect storm. As a result, our 2025 view of demand has been reduced to 410 bcm with material changes also to our LNG outlook.
