Dutch Government announces lower Groningen production cap
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
On 16 December, the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced a reduction of the Groningen production cap due to further seismic activity. The cap has been adjusted from 42.5 bcm (2015) and 40 bcm (2016) per year to 39.4 bcm per year for both 2015 and 2016. The latest changes to the cap raise concerns about an inability to contain the seismic activity from the field.
