Global gas demand is forecast to increase at an annual rate of 1.8% from 2010 to 2035. Our H2 2016 forecast and H1 2016 forecast are very similar, with global demand forecast to reach 4,081 bcm by 2025 and 4,715 bcm by 2035 (vs 4,067 bcm and 4,695 bcm in our H1 view). Gas demand will be dominated by increasing penetration of the power generation and industrial sectors. Globally these two sectors account for around 70% of growth over the forecast period. However, regional dynamics differ, with strongest regional growth prospects in China, North America and the Middle East.
