Global gas markets long-term supply outlook - East Africa - H2 2016

Report summary

The large discoveries in East Africa means the region has the potential to become a major LNG exporter. Around 5,000 bcm (176 tcf) of gas has been discovered in both Mozambique and Tanzania. The majority of the volumes discovered have been earmarked for LNG exports due to limited local and regional gas demand. Various major LNG export schemes have been proposed in both countries.
