Report summary

Total cash plus sustaining costs (TCPS) decreased from US$937/oz in 2014 to an estimated US$821/oz in 2015. The bulk of the year-on-year cost savings were attributed to a significantly stronger US dollar relative to the currencies of major gold producing countries. With the gold price falling for third straight year, from US$1,410/oz in 2013 to US$1,160/oz in 2015, the gold mining industry continued to implement a number of cost-cutting measures.
