Report summary
Alaska LNG is aimed at monetising the stranded gas at Prudhoe Bay and Point Thomson. The two fields have combined proven gas reserves of approximately 31 tcf. The proposed LNG project involves construction of a gas treatment plant (GTP) on the North Slope linked by a new 800-mile (1,287 kilometres) pipeline to a liquefaction facility, located at Nikiski on the Kenai Peninsula, southern Alaska.
