Report summary

Algeria's GL4Z (Camel) plant at Arzew began operations in 1964 and was the world's first commercial scale LNG facility. The GL4Z plant was constructed by Technip and Pritchard and had the capacity to process around 160 mmcfd of feedgas. The three trains were identical liquefaction units. The plant was closed and decommissioned in late 2010. The Arzew commercial overview outlines the project development and commercial structure.
