Report summary

Gas accounts for almost half of Argentina's primary energy supply. LNG imports reached a record 4.4 million tonnes in 2014 alongside record high imports of piped gas from Bolivia. The severity of the decade long production decline contributes to the growing demand for imported gas. Argentina will remain an LNG importer through 2025. There is upside potential for LNG over the medium term dependent on production levels and seasonal demand.
