The Canaport LNG regas terminal is part of Irving Oil's industrial complex just north of Saint John, New Brunswick. The facility includes Canada's largest oil refinery, and a deepwater crude-oil receiving terminal with an associated tank farm. The oil import facility was commissioned in 1970. In 2001, Irving applied to federal regulators to add LNG import facilities to the site. Approvals were obtained in 2004, and in 2005 Irving and repsol YPF entered into an agreement to set up a ...
