Report summary
TTF reclaims premium over NE Asia as prices remain volatile due to fears around Ukrainian and Russia relations TTF and JKM were down 1% and 5% respectively week-over-week as of Thursday’s settle. The sell off was strongest earlier in the week amid headline reports that some Russian troops were withdrawing from the border with Ukraine; though, news Thursday of skirmishes between Russian rebels and Ukrainian troops in the Donbas area led to the bounce helping TTF recover some of its value. As of Thursday’s close, TTF reclaimed its premium over NE Asia through the balance of 2022. TTF held a premium to NE Asia through the first 4 weeks of the year before dropping below NE Asia over the last two weeks.
