Commodity Market Report
Global gas & LNG weekly summary: 27 May 2022
Report summary
Fundamentals front-and-center as Russian risk premium continues to fade, dragging TTF and European coal prices down TTF settled at $27.1 for June on Wednesday, down from $28.7 last week, as the relatively small loss in imports from Russia continues to be overshadowed by much larger near-record LNG send-out, relatively lower demand, steady pipe flows from Norway and North Africa, and consequently larger-than-average storage injections. On top of that, the risk premium associated with Russian flow disruptions continues to fade as the majority of European buyers adopt the ruble accounts to facilitate payments to Gazprom.
