Global LNG long-term outlook H2 2015

Report summary

The LNG market is entering a period of extended over supply. Over the next five years, 121 mmtpa of LNG capacity which is under construction will be brought onstream increasing global supply by 50%. This supply growth comes from new LNG projects in Australia and the USA. However, once these projects are completed, supply growth is likely to slow as we expect Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) on new projects to be deferred in view of the weak market outlook.
