India LNG long-term outlook 2016

Report summary

India is the 4th largest LNG market in the world. Net LNG imports increased by 2.5% reaching 14.7 mmtpa in 2015. The drop in LNG prices, combined with new regasification capacity and pipelines, will accelerate India's LNG demand over the next 3-5 years. The government has also introduced a number of upstream policies which are likely to bring about gas-on-gas competition between domestic gas and LNG in the longer-term.
