This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
India LNG long-term market report, including details of the LNG supply-demand balance, regas infrastructure, contract developments, policy and regulation. Key highlights this update include: - LNG annual demand growth is expected to be 5.2% from 2020 to 2030 and 6.7% from 2030 to 2040. - LNG regas nameplate capacity to increase from 42.5 mmtpa in 2020 to 69 mmtpa by 2025. - More than 14,000 km of natural gas pipelines are under construction and authorised in addition to the existing 19,000 km. In longer term, pipeline infrastructure development will be the key to driver for LNG and gas demand growth. - Domestic gas production will surge from the mid-2021 driven by deepwater projects, with production growing by about 15 bcm in 10 years from 2020 to 2030. This results in a more moderate pace of LNG demand growth during this period. - As contracts roll off from the mid-2020s, existing and emerging buyers will look to ensure supply security with new long-term volumes.
