Report summary
On 25 May 2015, Jordan became the latest LNG importer when the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) Golar Eskimo arrived at the port of Aqaba on the Red Sea. Shipping company Golar LNG provides the facility under a 10-year charter agreement with Jordan's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The unit brings with it a commissioning cargo from Qatar.
