Poland LNG long-term outlook 2016

Poland LNG long-term outlook 2016

Report summary

Polskie LNG received its commissioning cargo from Qatargas in December 2015, the first of two test and start-up deliveries utilised for the cool-down process at the regasification facility. Due to its relatively high cost and smaller volumes compared to piped gas imports (with full deliveries from Qatar representing around 10% of current import needs) it is unlikely that LNG will make a substantial impact on total Polish gas demand.
