Report summary

Tortue is a giant deepwater gas field straddling the border of Senegal and Mauritania. The field will be commercialised in phases. Subsea wells will be connected to an FPSO moored in shallow water 80 kilometres away. Here, condensate will be stripped and sold for export. Lean gas from the FPSO will be sent to a hub/breakwater structure, another 30 kilometres away.
