Tortue FLNG is a proposed floating LNG project located offshore Mauritania and Senegal. The project will commercialise the giant Greater Tortue complex, which straddles the border of the two countries. Tortue was discovered by explorer Kosmos Energy. The deepwater field will be developed by means of small-scale, floating LNG vessels with capacities of around 2.3 mmtpa, moored to a breakwater.
