Report summary

Dubai currently imports LNG on a seasonal basis via a Floating Storage and Regas Unit (FSRU) provided by Golar LNG. In September 2014 DUSUP the Dubai Supply Authority signed a 10 year charter deal with Excelerate Energy for an FSRU. The new vessel will initially cover the dry docking of the existing vessel planned in 2015. Thereafter it is expected that the Golar LNG vessel will be sublet.
