Report summary

Speaking at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in Beijing on 12 November 2014, Presidents Xi and Obama unveiled new targets to cut carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.  For both countries the targets represent a significant challenge, and imply emissions cuts beyond those forecast in Wood Mackenzie’s base case.
