The vote to leave the EU on 23 June sent the pound tumbling to a 31-year low, 1.31 against the dollar. Where does it go from here? That depends on the terms of exit, if and when the UK formally leaves the EU. We expect increased volatility due to the heightened uncertainty and little prospect for the pound to regain value in the short term.
