Report summary

Philex refers to the Boyongan and the Bayugo deposits as the Silangan project. This is a porphyry copper deposit. The oxide ore is to be processed via sulphuric leaching whilst the sulphide is to be processed by conventional flotation techniques. A gold doré is also to be produced, via gravity separation. The pre-feasibility study was completed by July 2014. In 2015, the company was in the process of evaluating potential partners and assessing market conditions for fund raising. A the same time, the feasibility study was expected to be completed by the end of 2015 and production was expected by 2018. Wood Mackenzie takes a conservative view an assumes a start-up date by 2019.
