Report summary

Carmacks is a 6 yr heap leaching SxEw copper project in Yukon Canada. Efforts to permit this project date back to 1994; in 2008 the Yukon Environmental and Socio economic Assessment Board ("YESAB") approved the project to proceed and the Quartz mining license was issued in April 2009. The water use license however was denied in May 2010 and an appeal has been filed and the hearing was scheduled for September 2010. As at July 2012 this license was still pending.
