Report summary
Carmacks is an open-pit copper project in Yukon, Canada. It is 220 km north of Whitehorse, Yukon and 400 km from year-round port at Skagway, AK. The end products of the mine are copper cathode from heap leach SxEw and gold-silver dore from cyanide leach. The life of mine is expected to be 7 years, with one additional year of residual leaching. The project is in an engineering/permitting status with Preliminary Economic Assessment completed in November 2016. The production is expected to start in 2022 and production was envisaged at 30 Mlbs copper cathode and 19.5koz Au per year.
