Cilegon steel plant
Report summary
The POSCO PT Krakatau JV was established in August 2010 with the aim of building an integrated steel plant next to PT Krakatau’s existing Cilegon steel plant. Construction of the plant began on July 26th 2011. The new Cilegon-Banten plant began production on schedule on 23rd December 2013 and has the capacity to produce 3.2 Mtpa of crude steel, 3.0 Mtpa of slab and 1.5 Mtpa of plate. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now along with further expansion plans. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
