Corumba - Vale iron ore mine

Report summary

Corumba is a surface mine located approximately 20 kilometres from the city of Corumba in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Corumba does not have a seamless mine to port infrastructure solution and is consequently one of the highest costing mines in our Brazilian dataset. Vale will keep production levels low at the mine as it switches output to more-efficient, lower-cost operations.
