Doyon gold mine

Report summary

Doyon was an underground mine that ceased production in 2011. Ore was from the Mouska deposit and the main reason for closure was due to reserve depletion and high operating costs associated with the mine. Attention turned to development of the nearby Westwood mine that utilises the existing mill and water management facilities at Doyon.
