Operated by Qinghai Lithium Co Ltd, East Taijinaier is a lithium brine operation located in Qinghai province, China. East Taijinaier Salt Lake is a magnesium sulphate sub-type salt lake with a low lithium concentration and high Mg/Li ratio. Qinghai Lithium utilises electrodialysis technology to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate. The technology allows the extraction of lithium from brine taken directly from the salt lake.
